Lip Dub

We had a school wide lip dub recording session today.  All of the students in the high school participated.
Several weeks ago students voted on the song they wanted to lip dub for the school's Anti Bully video.  The votes were counted and the winning song is......Who Says by Selena Gomez.
Today the students weaved in and out of classrooms, the cafeteria and the library.  Once the recording was done everyone congregated in the gym for the final shot.
Here is the wonderful group of young people I worked with.
Stay tuned for the video in the next few days.

Then we have the Hey! Mrs. C has the camera out, lets be silly!  What fun I have with these young people!

Students at Tri-Center were helping with the library bulletin board, "Don't Leaf Without A Good Book".  This bulletin board is for students to use when they just can't seem to find a book.  Books are written on the leaves from students suggesting books to other readers.

A Year for CHANGE!

Welcome to Tri-Center Middle School and High School Library.

Students explored PlayAways and Nook Color devices.  Nooks are available to students in the middle school and high school to check out.  At this time there are a limited amount of books of the Nooks.

PlayAways are borrowed from Green Hills AEA for student use.  Students were instructed on how to get to the list of over 600 PlayAway titles to choose from.

Students were amazed that they are able to check out these devices to add to their reading enjoyment.

Reminder: Beth from Barnes & Noble Crossroads will be here on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 to answer any questions about Nooks for students and the community.
